2016 is in the rear view mirror. Many people are upset and become depressed this time of year. Their year stunk. 2016 was horrible. I can’t wait for this year to be over. We have all heard similar comments from family, friends, and acquaintances. I use this time as an opportunity to evaluate the previous 365 days. What did I learn about myself? What did I do well? What areas can I improve? Instead of focusing on the negative, use this time to re-evaluate yourself as an individual.
What have you learned about yourself this year? If you can add 3-5 things to this list, the year was not wasted. Here are three things I have learned about myself.
- I am a strong person who is able to overcome adversity.
- I need continued work on my listening skills.
- If you are internally motivated, you can do anything you set your mind too.
